There is no psychological evolution

“Time is fear, time is pleasure, time is sorrow. And is love involved in time?”. Jiddu Krishnamurti, points and expects the seeker to examine.

At about 6 minutes into the video Jiddu Krishnamurti takes a pause and then states clearly and precisely – “There is no psychological evolution, at all”. Building to this point in the talk, he discusses two types of time – biological time (as our body grows) and psychological time. Krishnamurti was a unique master, who encouraged us not to just accept or deny anything, but to first listen in a wholesome way and then examine through full attention and with direct experience. My young adult years were filled with reading Krishnamurti and discussing it with @Ananda my childhood friend and co admin on this group. Jiddu ends the video by asking – “Time is fear, time is pleasure, time is sorrow. And is love involved in time?”. He does not give the answer, but points and expects the seeker to examine. I recommend you take some time out and listen to this video, twice if possible. Have a lovely week ahead.

The Secret of Life?

Living and life just happen and is spontaneous and there is no command or control to live.

The Secret of Life

You do not have to keep living. It makes no difference either way. Living and life just happen. Don’t get me wrong, you do not have to kill yourself either; but from the highest perspective, living just happens and is spontaneous and there is no command or control to live. Most of that is a compulsion, just in our own minds. So the only option it comes down to, is to keep a laser focus on the present moment, on the here and now. In this video Alan Watts says “This is the real secret of life, to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realise it is play.” Have a lovely day.

Setting Up Anchor Experiences in Your Brain

“If you know the correct trigger, you can elicit any response in yourself and others” begins the video.

Anchor Experiences in Your Brain

“If you know the correct trigger, you can elicit any response in yourself and others” begins the video. The brain cannot distinguish, between an actual experience and the memory of an actual experience. This means, by anchoring actual positive experiences in our brain, we can stimulate the triggers and responses of those experiences. We can then apply this learnt behaviour and responses to new situations. This is based on the research done by Dr. Dave Hamilton and can be used as a practical tool to approach some of our responses. The video shows us a 5 step method to anchor such experiences in our brain. Enjoy it and do try the technique.

Dalai Lama’s Guide to Happiness

Dalai Lama’s Guide to Happiness

This is not just a video about happiness; if you see it one pointedly it is pure joy, expressing through the Dalai Lama and infectious to the people around him. Just hearing him, I was moved to both laughter and tears. The Dalai Lama, talks about warm heartedness, a quality so integral to our sense of connectedness with the universe. When we are warm hearted, we intuitively acknowledge that the highest part of the universe – if you would like to call that God – resides deeply in each of us. If we cannot approach each other with warm heartedness, then we have cut ourselves off from the nectar that flows in our own heart; which is the beginning of loneliness. Please have a lovely day.
