Move Beyond Words, NOW !

Words
  • Most of the time people make impressions in their mind of someone else, by what the other says.
  • This is part of the over importance we give to our own intellect and supremacy given to the construction of language.
  • Become such, that you may sense the “true feel”, behind peoples words. Then your insights (of the universe) will increase. It may reveal, the huge gap between what a person maybe saying, what s/he really feels (and is often unaware off) & is doing, or may not.
  • And the same process applied inward, leads to self discovery.
  • But how does one do that, if words are our primary form of interaction or relationship and we form impressions in our own minds by words we listen to, read or hear?
  • By living from a space, within our being, where the intellect is put aside completely & the idea of who we currently are is expanded to something unfathomable and beyond our thought constructed “reality”.

PR needs a seat at the Leadership Table

I was heartened to see an article in the Business Standard yesterday, looking at the strategic nature of public relations. Especially in the modern age of connectivity, instant communications and breaking news, PR as an art and science has taken on a new meaning and an important place within organisations and with individuals. Through my work I also find, people seeking to understand the value that a Public Relations professional brings to the table, often surpassing traditional marketing tools such as advertising and outdoor, coupled with significant value. A new paradigm coming through soon.

PR Leadership

Journalists should reveal their sources

@dennistarapore: Media wants politicians to be transparent, but do not want sources to be revealed. Why? Can’t journalists be transparent? #mediawatch

We demand and demand for politicians to be transparent. We cry for open decision making. Most journalists want impeccable standards from the entire world. But what when they break their own codes!

Journalists often demand special treatment, ask for favours and refuse to remain transparent about their sources? Why? Given the secrecy on sources, how many hide behind imaginary self created sources to extend their line of argument? And besides if the source is not revealed, why should I believe the journalist? Should she not have the same integrity being demanded of politicians and the rest of the world?
