Choose your preferred state of being

From the deepest place, there is no objective reality outside, You are the creator or non creator of it all. Thus do NOT be a slave to your circumstance.

Quite often we let outer circumstances, or what we see with our eyes, guide us. But this can be misleading, because what we see on the outside, comes from within, from our own perspective. From the deepest place, there is no objective reality outside, You are the creator or non creator of it all. Thus do NOT be a slave to your circumstance. Instead choose and “feel” your state of being, your preferred life and out picture it for yourself. What you feel right now (regardless of your outside circumstance) is what you will attract to yourself.

The video begins with the words “If your state of being, your state of consciousness is not your No.1 priority, then life will have its way with you.”. In essence the narrator asks us to make our state the priority and constantly plant new seeds and become a creator of what one passionately desires. Loosen the grasp on the physical and play with your imagination, just as a creator would, in order to create a so called “outer life” that we want.

Make the time, make the time, make the time. Make understanding yourself, the biggest goal in your life. Become like an Olympian, have one singular goal, in this case the goal to understand who you truly are; an Olympian in bringing to the fore, that you are the ecstasy of the universe, that you are Shiva, that you are what it is you are looking for. You took birth, you came through millions of souls, you found a womb; now don’t waste it. It takes only 10 minutes this morning, then the next, then the next, then the next….and slowly you would have built a full practice over the years, that will give you the greatest bliss inside. It is worth every bit of the joy and fun, even while living with all your earthly duties. Do it. I am only speaking now after almost twenty seven years of spontaneous practice and not to boast, but to inspire, that it is possible at anytime, create the inner environment.

Experiencing the Divine Play of Life

At an ordinary bookshop in Mumbai I found his classic autobiography “The Play of Consciousness”. The result of just reading his words was such, that an incredible spiritual opening began in my being, the impact of which unfolds till this day.

In this video Swami Mukatananda extolls that “You divide your life into the waking and dream state, but it is all one state. It is ever new, neither true nor false. What was real yesterday, is unreal today, and what is real now will be unreal tomorrow.”. He goes on to say “When a wise being understands the way of the world, the sport and the play of destiny and the continuity of the waking and dream states and the light of the knowledge of Bhairava (the one who destroys fear), he becomes filled with the extraordinary mystery of the formless, and feels lighthearted with this simple awareness. Then he naturally takes delight in the game.”

Make this video a meditation. Take a good comfortable posture, put a good headphone on and then just hear the words, the sounds. No need to try and intellectually understand it, but just listen, to the play of sun and shadows.
