This is an apt contemplation, especially at a time like this, when the entire world is caught in the grip of fear. How do we remove our conditioning, so that we may become aware of the universe breathing through us. How can we drop the intellect, to see from the lense of direct experience. βThe βTaoβ can only make use of you when you are empty of all that blocks a union between yourself and the universe.β This video tries to capture some of these themes. Guided Meditation by Alan Watts
Trust most of you had a chance to listen to the entire video “The Art of Not Trying” yesterday. In the spirit of the same, here is a 15 minute guided meditation by Alan Watts (Awakening The Mind). I first meditated on my breath way back in school and it is a practice that has only grown over the years, leading to great joy and calmness. Put on a good headphone and take these 15 minutes and simply listen to Alan Watts, relaxing every part of your body and accepting everything around you. The blog name change is inspired by this video. Watch it, when you can take a short moment to yourself. These days there are a multitude of videos, thoughts and a high level of information flow and more pieces of unwanted notes, that we are bombarded with. Nevertheless to truly absorb words like these, we need to create space inside, a way of listening with the “non mind”. Don’t use your intellect, just absorb the words of the great Master Lau Tzu π
