There is no psychological evolution

“Time is fear, time is pleasure, time is sorrow. And is love involved in time?”. Jiddu Krishnamurti, points and expects the seeker to examine.

At about 6 minutes into the video Jiddu Krishnamurti takes a pause and then states clearly and precisely – “There is no psychological evolution, at all”. Building to this point in the talk, he discusses two types of time – biological time (as our body grows) and psychological time. Krishnamurti was a unique master, who encouraged us not to just accept or deny anything, but to first listen in a wholesome way and then examine through full attention and with direct experience. My young adult years were filled with reading Krishnamurti and discussing it with @Ananda my childhood friend and co admin on this group. Jiddu ends the video by asking – “Time is fear, time is pleasure, time is sorrow. And is love involved in time?”. He does not give the answer, but points and expects the seeker to examine. I recommend you take some time out and listen to this video, twice if possible. Have a lovely week ahead.
