Nothing inherently wrong with being “materialistic”. Just that the material world is only our temporary home. To pitch all bets on it, is just un-smart. If you look at the wide universe, the earth is just a speck of dust in the infinite creation of things. If you were to see the entire universe in one glance, you would be challenged to find earth in it, since it would be just so so so so small.
Having said that, earth gives us a great opportunity to first and foremost “feel” our spirit in material terms. Our actual flesh and blood. Thus we consciously separate from our all knowing spirit state, and step down our frequency to make material manifestation possible. This “step down” gives us many opportunities – to live, love, enjoy, dance, relate, excite, touch, feel, create countries, go to war, make babies…in effect do as we please, how we please and have the ability to “feel” it physically.
But mainly and fairly obvious, is that Earth is not our permanent home. There are galaxies and galaxies to discover over and above and beyond earth. Thus to act and behave in a way, that earth is everything (yes it is maybe something…just a little something where we should be happy), that you just have to make it or break it here, compete till you die and create an unending bank balance; this reflects a non understanding of our broader spirit which lives in dimensions beyond just the body (…yes concurrently and simultaneously).
