The outside world is deceptive in its orientation. It makes you feel, that there is something happening ‘out there’ beyond and without your reach. This deception is caused when we break our unity consciousness with all things and look through the prism of duality. Thus things begin to appear separate, people look different, forces seem to work in favour or against, alignments and agendas crop up. At the root of separation lies the idea of “us and them” or “me and them”.
But unity consciousness is telling us that everything is happening in perfect harmony and the universe is throbbing in the perfect way each moment. And yet, it maybe challenging to hold unity awareness, in our day-to-day life. One marker that instantly flags to us, that we have lost our own state of universal consciousness, is when we begin to “blame”. We blame people, events, circumstances, government, God, universe and the list goes on. And often blame comes out of anger, and anger is caused when things have not gone “your way”. Of course you want things your way, when you have fallen out of universal consciousness and cannot understand the universal way. And so begins the cycle of blame, anger and separation.
Blaming shows emotional immaturity. You maybe a grown up, but your emotional age could still be that of a seven or ten-year old. And because you cannot see, how your own actions may have created particular situations in your life, your mind quickly moves in to blame. When you blame people for things in your life or situations around you; what you are really saying is “I screwed up, but cannot accept it” or “I am not happy with myself”. Blaming momentarily makes you feel like you are/were not responsible for something that may have happened – while the truth is – whatever is taking place in your life currently – you are the only person responsible for it.
From the highest perspective, there is actually no ‘other’. And thus there is no one to blame. Going beyond blame, can free your life; because the illusionary battle one keeps having with something “out there” comes to an end. There is nothing “out there” to blame, distort, hold up, punch, demonize, hold responsible for. Once you let your blaming nature rest and dissolve, you can lighten your self-kept burden and learn to live daily life with a light step, a light touch.
